Pádraig Trehy
Pádraig Trehy is a dedicated educator and filmmaker with a focus on cinema history, theory, experimental film, video art, and performance. He founded the Crawford Film Forum in 2017, fostering partnerships with MTU Arts Office and IndieCORK to launch art(ist) film, Ireland’s first film festival strand for art college students and graduates. Recognized for his teaching excellence with a 2016 Teaching Hero Award, Trehy has produced shorts and documentaries for over two decades. His work, supported by various Irish cultural institutions, includes the feature-length documentary Seamus Murphy: A Quiet Revolution (2014) and the feature film Shem the Penman Sings Again (2015), both acclaimed nationally and internationally.
